Customer Review about Joying Android Car Autoradio Installed in 2007 Honda Odyssey

This unit is awesome. Super excited after install. I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and used the Metra wiring harness and Metra dashkit. The unit is slightly larger than a double din so did some customizing and took the dremel to the kit to trim back some tabs and cut out a notch for the volume knob and worked perfectly. The steering wheel controls work great, just needed to view a youtube video from another Odyssey owner and spliced the wires necessary and boom, no extra anything needed to get them to work.

I connect the wifi hotspot option my galaxy note 5 and it is awesome. Can run my Netflix, amazon video or whatever no problem. Figured out how to mirror my phone to the unit by turning on developer mode and usb debugging, then connect the usb to the unit and my phone mirrors to the screen and can even control my phone from the unit's screen itself. This is possible due to the preloaded app called Easy Connect.

It has plenty of outputs on the back for adding screens or back up camera or dvr/dashcam. Came with GPS antenna and even a microphone. Plan on adding an overhead screen to my van and running video from the unit to the rear screen. All easily doable with some long RCA video cables. It also has 2 usb cables/inputs running from the back which I connected using a usb extender that I ordered from Amazon as well. This let me locate them to the extra 12volt socket at the lower console. Cleaner look and this is where I plug my phone to mirror it or charge it. If you have music on a thumdrive, you can connect it to the usb and run it from there.

I run a small mobile detailing company and was able to get my logo on the start up screen by using a micro sd card to upload it. Nice little custom look. Has some preloaded apps that are pretty cool like Torque for monitor OBD stats from your car. (Need to buy the dongle separately). Overall, super stoked and love the unit. Was going to get the 10" version but it wouldn't fit after measurements.
